EGG SANDWICH

with Oberweis Thick Cut Bacon, Cheddar, and Salted Butter

Go beyond the basic BLT when you create this satisfying sandwich that’s sure to hit the spot.

Ingredients list:
  • 1 Tablespoon Oberweis salted butter
  • 4 slices Oberweis thick cut bacon, cooked
  • 2 Seven Sons Pasture Raised Eggs, sunny side up
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 loaf Boulart Ciabatta Demi-Baguette
  • 6 slices Castle Wood Reserve Honey Roasted Turkey
  • 1 c. arugula
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 slices Oberweis Cheddar

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees to warm frozen Demi-Baguette for 6 minutes (or for 3 minutes if already thawed).
  2. While the bread warms, place butter in a skillet and begin to heat over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook until desired crispness. Remove and set aside.
  3. Break the eggs into the same skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low; cook eggs for 3-4 minutes or until white is completely set and yolk starts to thicken.
  4. Remove the baguette from the oven. When cool enough to handle, slice the baguette in half lengthwise, and then cut in half again. Place cheddar on the bottom portion of the baguette and return to the oven just long enough to melt the cheese, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once the cheese has melted, remove from the oven and build your sandwich. Add the turkey, tomatoes, bacon, arugula and place the egg on top, followed by the bread.
  6. Enjoy immediately.
