6 Apples

Ingredients list:
  • 3 packages of Good Food Made Steel Cut Oatmeal-- each package will be divided between two apples (There are two packages per box).
  • 1 Tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Oberweis maple syrup
  • ¾ c. Banner Road Bye Bye Blues Granola (divided into 6, ? cup portions)
  • 6 small apples*
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon (divided into 6, ? teaspoons), plus extra to sprinkle
  • 6 Tbsp Bee Raw Maine Wild Raspberry Honey, one Tbsp per apple, for drizzling
  • 1 quart Oberweis vanilla ice cream

  1. Prepare the oatmeal as directed on the packaging. Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup. Set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Core the apples, creating about a 1" hole and leaving about 1/2" of the core remaining at the bottom. Rub each core with 1/8 tsp cinnamon to coat and place in a baking dish.
  3. Distribute oatmeal evenly among apples. Top with ? c. granola each and sprinkle with additional cinnamon.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes on bottom rack of oven, or until apples are tender, but not mushy. Remove from heat. Let cool slightly.
  5. Drizzle 1 Tbsp honey over each apple. Serve warm, with Oberweis Vanilla Ice Cream.
  6. Recipe Tip: *McIntosh apples are great for baking and have a beautiful, deep red color. Other varieties that will work nicely are pink lady, braeburn, and honeycrisp. If using giant honeycrisp apples, create a larger cored hole and reduce to only 4 apples.
